Startup Incubator spilling out more new business

Six more social businesses get green light

With the inception of the Social Business Design Lab of Grameen Bank in January 2013, a massive 1260 projects have been approved for investments, by the entrepreneurship wing of Dr Yunus run microfinance institution. Most of them are claimed to be already under operation.

To update the statistics, six new local entrepreneurs made their marks at the conclusion of the 92nd Social Business Design Lab with over 150 participants in front of local as
well as international
audience. The startups were handicraft, beauty parlor for skin care, farm producing meat and eggs, grocery store and baansh house.

To inspire these startups more, the executive director of CPD made a separate statement to shift public attention by the whisker from the export oriented sector towards incentives to these. He insisted that there is slim scope for increased trade liberalization to support small local industries. This was commented on the upcoming Fifth year plan 2016-2020.

With slowly improving political situation since earlier this year, it’s refreshing to see more startups in the country. Along with that, the few changes that were made to agriculture, industrial, etc can be seen in the news link below.
