Student entrepreneurship is something that some have lived through, while others have seen it in one of their friends who were great company at the start of university, but later on rarely got to meet due to their friend's startup business. Student entrepreneurship is something Bangladesh has gained much popularity on, naturally since the mother-of-all-degrees in the country, the "BBA", supposedly trains young individuals for the business world. Starting a new business as opposed to being handed one from inheritance, is enormously different; and it is considerably gutsy to overcome the real life business risks and emotional shackles of being an entrepreneur, that too as a student. When already in the life of one, the battles a student faces are quite intriguing and thus acutely appropriate for our blog.
Life of a Student Entrepreneur (Part 1)
This retelling of student entrepreneurship life and its challenges, is by a computer engineering student from university in Chittagong. Being a founder, member and activist of many different causes, she shares the situations that she faces to balance her student and entrepreneur life. Startups who are facing business challenges can learn a lot from this little, to-be-continued storytelling, as an inspiration to be more dynamic and active or to embrace the understanding of the value of entrepreneurship with in-line education.
She talks about giving up part of a happening student-life jubilation, appreciating studies to managing pressure, respecting class attendance, using library resources for random idea generation, cherishing the real supportive friends and being lonely in trusting someone. Although this is part 1 of her sharing her experience, do give it a read.
