2016's hopes for private investment

Jump-start private investment in 2016

2015's private investment challenges - infrastructure deficit, slow reforms, costly borrowing, sluggish global recover and political uncertainty - are hopeful to be a thing of the past year. The year better than 2014 had better political stability, better interest rates, stable inflation and improved supply of electricity. However, the better business climate did not still mean a positive one, since lesser political turmoil was not enough to transform into better private investments.
Independent business men and women shared their hopes about 2016, with calls for stronger business performance and gaining foreign confidence. Apart from the few positive outlooks of the bygone year being lower-middle income status, better balance of payments and healthy agricultural output, there were a surge of startups, particularly in IT.

2016 brings hopes of a fresh start and a better future for all business activities, through greater efforts in private investment.
